I purchase whole bean product and electrically grind enough for about 3 days. I store ground coffee in ziplock canister. This is the 2nd best coffee of all selections for my taste. By far the best dark coffee. Very nice taste going down and pleasant aftertaste. After almost a year of trying different coffees, this is undoubtedly the 2nd best of all available, although I will continue my search.

I started sampling different flavors when I joined the club and stopped when I got to Light Up Las Olas. There was no need to go any further. This coffee has such a uniquely smokey flavor and deep richness. Nothing compares. We drink it as our regular coffee until the shipment runs out. Then we anxiously await the next shipment. I really wish it was a little more affordable so we didn't ever have to run out. I love to open the bag and take that first big whiff. I also still marvel over the shiny blackness of the beans. I am totally taken by the experience.

I've tried many other recommended coffees from popular and not so popular companies. I have yet to find any coffee that compares in flavor. This is a dark roast with no burnt taste whatsoever yet has a bold earthy flavor that has yet to be duplicated by any other coffee vendor.

I use to buy my coffeeat this well known convience store that actually has an excellent line of ready coffee to purchase. Since I used your coffee it has elevated my senses to quest for a fuller body brew which I found in your product. I like dark coffee, but this one just ends up tasting like mud. They tried a little too hard to get the darkest coffee drinkers on board. Boca Villa and Palm Beach Rythm are much better options in the Boca Java collection for those who want a dark coffee that doesn't taste like mud.

This is very rich and flavorful -- so much so that I can use a little less than I normally would and it is still rich and flavorful. This is my absolute favorite. It stands on its own very well, and also takes well to cream and sugar. My favorite combo is evaporated milk and a little brown sugar -- rich tasting sugar and milk for a rich tasting coffee.

Ifound it hard to get a good cup of coffee each time. I used one-cup coffee maker and measured precicely, each time, adding or subtracting coffee amounts and could not get a good balance of flavor.

I finally found a coffee bean that is fresh and full of flavor. I love a coffee that is still dripping from the roast and this is it! The roast date was days from when we received it. The ground version is better than the bean version. I found that the bean version when ground in a 1-cup grinder and brewed had a strong overwhelming odor that my housemate complained about and was not of a good smooth taste. There were no complaints about the ground version when brewed which makes me wonder if grinding small quantities affects the taste. The taste of the ground was marvelous as opposed to the bean version.

I love dark-roasted coffees (with the exception of French Roast...I find it's usually over-done). Light Up Las Olas is my every-morning wake-up coffee, rich and smooth, with absolutely no bitterness if consumed promptly. I have left it for a few hours and reheated it, but bitterness takes hold after it has been exposed to the air for two or three hours, so drink it while its hot, or serve it from a thermal carafe.

I have served this coffee to guests who didn't think they would be fans of a dark roast coffee, but Light Up Las Olas is so silky-smooth, they can't quit commenting how good it is.

My husband, who didn't drink coffee at all when we married, absolutely LOVES Light Up Las Olas. Boca Java does such a great job with dark roasting. When the oils are still with the bean and not roasted away, you know you've got a great-tasting coffee.

Try Light Up Las Olas...beans instead of ground, if you can. You'll love it.

I love dark coffee but french roast is usually a touch bitter for my taste.
Light Up Las Olas is a blend of Brazil and Colombia beans that balances any bitterness.
They are lovely oily beans but that may make the preground version easier to spoil so grind them fresh.
In return you get the best dark roast I have ever tasted balanced and smooth.

This is my morning coffee. It's bold enough to deliver a rich and satisfying cup of coffee with a smooth finish to get the day going. I love using it for iced coffee which I often enjoy when I have a heavy day of studying for school. I mix it with a little half-and-half over ice and fresh whipped cream on top for a soul satisfying coffee pick-me-up. For European style I start with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and then add some ice and coffee to it! Yummy!

This is the best you have out there after the loss of Riviera Roast which was your best coffee by far. I will try a couple more flavors next month and then drop my membership. I love Light Up Las Olas, which is why I ordered it. BUT, the roast date was actually about 4 days before my order date; I ordered Dec. 8 or 9, but the roast date was stamped Dec. 5. I believe this is contrary to Boca Java's advertised promise to roast when ordered, and not before... This is my only complaint.

The only thing I have against this coffee is the practice of spraying of flavor oils before it is roasted. So, is this coffee a cheaper coffee doctored to taste better? It does work.I am a connoisseur of fine coffees. I have paid a lot more money for the better, single plantation grown coffee with the greatest flavors around the world. If they were more affordable, I would be buying them.I was going to go with your coffees alone. Another company removed my shipping charges for life to keep me as a customer. This is a time to make money stretch as far as possible.

I really like this coffee, though I wouldn't recommend brewing it in a French Press. Maybe I let it sit too long, or maybe the beans I used were a bit stale, but the one time I did that with this coffee it finished with a bitter aftertaste. I have used this in a regular coffee maker and also espresso machine and have loved it both ways. Neither of those methods produced a bitter aftertaste-- it brewed smooth and rich.
